Hikes

Magoebaskloof Hike: July

What a great hike, if you weren’t there you missed out plenty. Yes the weather sucked, but it did make for some moody photo’s. It was also a really difficult hike, and I think everyone went home with war wounds, although some way worse than others. The new hiking boots produced no blisters and the old ones did, very strange indeed. Here you will find a collection of photo’s and descriptions they are not really in order.

This the the Group from phoenix that went from the left we have Ian, Cherilyn, Marc, Gail, Mark, This was of course before we started, which btw was on the wrong path we then had to double back.

We had plenty treacherous terrain along the way here are some pics of that(one at a time please).

This is everyone except Ian(who was taking the pic) leaving the hut on day two.

Right next to the hut was an awsome waterfall and rock pool which you can swim in, but considering the water is freeeeezing cold and it had been raining you had to be crazy to go for a swim. we just so happend to have a few crazy people with us who decided it was just too good an opportunity to miss so Ian and Mark did go for a swim although I think Ian was the only one to get all wet.

One good thing about the weather is it gave every scene a mood. Here are a few.
